The World Government Summit announced that eight candidates will compete in the final stage of the World’s Best Minister Award, organized in partnership with Ernst & Young.

The World Government Summit announced that eight candidates will compete in the final stage of the World’s Best Minister Award, organized in partnership with Ernst & Young.

The Award winner will be announced during the fifth edition of the World Government Summit to be held on 12th-14th February, 2017.

In its second edition, the award aims at bringing attention to governmental leading models around the world and promoting the exchange of experiences. The eight candidates have been selected among more than 20 ministers nominated through a world survey that included several world governments, in addition to public nominations on social media.

Omar Sultan Al-Ulama, the Director of the World Government Summit, stated that the World’s Best Minister Award is an opportunity to showcase distinguished and inspirational experiences around the world as well as their positive impact on people. The award also examines various ways to transfer such experiences between nations.

 

Al-Ulama added that the World Government Summit is the ideal platform for highlighting the prominent efforts towards shaping the future and honoring those ministers who led successful projects and achieved unprecedented progress through developing and leading innovative initiatives.
