The Arab SDGs
  • Arab region confronts major developmental challenges, urging swift SDG progress.
  • Arab SDG Index offers data-driven assessment, highlighting implementation gaps.
  • Arab nations must prioritize SDG efforts to understand, monitor and reform progress

The Arab region is confronted with significant developmental obstacles across various domains. Currently, the urgency to advance towards the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has become more critical. In this pivotal juncture, the primary aim of the upcoming Arab SDG Index and Dashboard report is to offer a practical, data-driven instrument to governments, policymakers, and other stakeholders.

This report and data tool are developed in collaboration between the MBRSG and the UN SDSN, to aid in assessing progress made towards the SDGs, and to shed light on challenges in implementation and identifying gaps in data. Covering all 17 SDGs and comprising more than 100 indicators on vital sectors, the Arab SDG Index was designed to be a practical tool for policymakers to understand, monitor and reform progress in the region. It is of utmost importance that nations in the Arab region, both individually and collectively, address the escalating developmental hurdles and expedite their efforts to realize the SDGs. As a global platform dedicated to shaping the future of governments worldwide, the World Government Summit is an ideal venue for sharing regional knowledge geared towards advancing sustainable development.
