About the Challenge
This unique initiative is designed to bring together tomorrow’s leaders with today’s policy-makers. The Shaping Future Governments: Global Universities Challenge convenes the brightest young minds from top graduate schools of public policy and business administration from across the globe in an innovative competition to improve the way governments work.
Participation and Judging
Teams of students from participating universities are invited to the World Governments Summit each year to develop practical plans in response to a given challenge or prompt. One member from each team takes the stage to present their team's plan to an esteemed panel of judges, who evaluate each project based on a series of established criteria.

An award organized by the Emirates Government Service Excellence Program as part of the World Governments Summit, the GovTech Prize recognizes innovative solutions that utilize cutting-edge technologies to address evolving local and global challenges and explore new opportunities for a better future for humanity. Since its inception, the GovTech Prize has launched numerous awards and hackathons highlighting the efforts of governments, students, researchers, institutions, private sector companies, and start-ups.
