About the Prize

An award organized by the Emirates Government Service Excellence Program as part of the World Governments Summit, the GovTech Prize recognizes innovative solutions that utilize cutting-edge technologies to address evolving local and global challenges and explore new opportunities for a better future for humanity. Since its inception, the GovTech Prize has launched numerous awards and hackathons highlighting the efforts of governments, students, researchers, institutions, private sector companies, and start-ups.

Global Best M-Gov Award

Under the umbrella of the GovTech Prize, this award celebrates the creativity and civic engagement of public and private university students worldwide. The Global Best M-Gov Award highlights the pioneering role of universities and youth in addressing local and global challenges and building a better world. It recognizes ideas, prototypes, and mobile applications that utilize novel approaches and techniques that leverage technology to solve universal problems, provide tangible benefits, and demonstrate the ability to transcend geographical borders.

Presented to government entities worldwide, the GovTech Prize is awarded to creative and innovative solutions that address pressing challenges and create exceptional government service experiences. It highlights unique approaches to applying technology to solve problems affecting large segments of the population in order to positively impact society. The prize recognizes human-centric innovations across three categories: Best Human-Centric Government Service, Best Use of Generative AI in Government Services, and Best Government Service in the World.
